Artichoke and Red Rice Extract
Cholesterol Balance is a dietary supplement that contains artichoke, fermented red rice extract, and citrus flavonoids. Artichoke helps maintain normal blood lipid levels and supports normal blood cholesterol levels. Artichoke is originally a vegetable and herb native to North Africa. It is a true delicacy, cultivated by the Greeks and Romans, but it is now becoming increasingly popular in European cuisine. The daily dose of Cholesterol Balance tablets (2 tablets) contains 600 mg of artichoke extract and also includes 200 mg of fermented red rice extract with 160 mg of bioflavonoids, of which Monacolin K amounts to 3 mg.
Research on Cholesterol Balance
Research shows that artichoke can have positive effects on blood lipids. A study published in the Journal of Clinical Lipidology found that artichoke extract could reduce total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol in people with high cholesterol levels. Another study published in Phytotherapy Research showed that artichoke extract could reduce triglyceride levels in people with metabolic syndrome.
