100% Pure Magnesium Chloride Flakes
NOW® Solutions 100% Pure Magnesium Chloride Flakes are an ideal natural bath addition to soften the skin. These flakes are extracted from the bottom of the ancient Zechstein Sea in the Netherlands, one of the world's purest remaining underground mineral resources. Our purest magnesium flakes have traditionally been used to enhance skin hydration and are a soothing addition to bathwater and foot baths. One cup of flakes contains approximately 19 grams of elemental magnesium.
Research on Magnesium Chloride
Research has shown that magnesium chloride may have several health benefits. A study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition found that magnesium supplements can help improve sleep and reduce symptoms of insomnia. Another study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that magnesium supplements can help lower blood pressure in people with hypertension. Magnesium chloride can also help relieve muscle cramps and improve muscle recovery after exercise.
Usage of Magnesium Chloride Flakes
For foot baths: Dissolve 1 cup in about 1 gallon of warm water. Soak for 20-30 minutes. For full body baths: Dissolve 4 cups in a bathtub filled with warm water. Soak for 20-30 minutes. Rinse off and pat dry.
Store in a cool, dry place.
Avoid contact with eyes. For external use only. If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use. Consult a physician if you are taking medications (especially diuretics) or have a medical condition (especially kidney, heart, or lung disease).
